Andrew attended our La Crosse camp in 2023. His elevation is phenomenal and he has developed into a great double threat punter and kicker.

Mohan named 2nd Team All-State

Andrew Mohan is a senior kicker and punter from Waverly-Shell Rock High School (Waverly, IA). A year ago, Andrew helped his team deep into the playoffs, but this year, a depleted senior squad struggled. Despite the team’s rough start to their season, Mohan helped the GoHawks finish in 3rd place in the tough Northeast Iowa Conference, winning their last three games.

He earned a number of accolades for his performance this season, including being selected by the IFCA as the 2nd Team Kicker, the District Kicker of the Year, 1st team all district, KWAY radio all area first team, and the WSR special teams player of the year, as well as on the Scorebook Live Iowa top specialists list.

His stats are solid, going 7 for 10 on field goals (tied school record for most made field goals in a season) with a long of 42. He was perfect on PATs going 29 for 29. A struggling team typically means less kickoffs and more punts. Andrew had 14 touchbacks and 2 onsides kick recoveries. Punting, he had 7 that punts over 40 yards from the line of scrimmage with a long of 59.

Like so many other good kickers, he’s a fine athlete, playing soccer, as well as baseball and basketball.  He’s beginning to get recruited by colleges from all levels. Andrew’s would like to both kick and punt in college and is capable to do so. Now, he just needs to find the right program!

Mohan was the only Iowa high school attendee to our Wisconsin camps this past year. We are looking to add an Iowa camp for the Summer of 2024.

Coach Farley on Mohan: “I was amazed at how good Andrew’s elevation was on field goals at our camp. His contact compression is excellent — and as he adds more muscle to his frame, I fully expect him to reach 10 more yards in kickoff distance.”
