Sean attended our Cedarburg camp in 2022 and the West Bend camp in 2023.  He’s been a great student of his craft and has developed into a great double threat punter and kicker…. not to mention playing QB and WR!

West named All-State as both Kicker & Punter!

Sean West is a senior kicker and punter at Homestead High School (Mequon, WI) and helped the Highlanders into the second round of the WIAA Division 2 playoffs, a North Shore Conference title and a 9-2 overall record.

He was named a Large School first team All-State kicker and also named to the All-State Honorable Mention roster as a punter. It’s rare that any player is named to two positions. What’s more, Sean was a triple threat all season long, playing and scoring as a wide receiver, too!

His stats are impressive, so it’s no wonder why he got the attention of the WFCA coaches as their choice for All-State. Most high school kickers have not earned the trust of their head coach to try many field goals, but Sean went 15-19 this year (long of 49 yards) — unheard of in Wisconsin high school. He hit over 80% of his kickoffs for touchbacks, while  averaging 42.9 yards a punt with 10 downed inside the 20.

As an A-student, Sean is being recruited by colleges from all levels. The challenging part for him will be to find a school that suits his academic and social needs, while joining a football program that will afford him the opportunity to win a starting job as both a kicker and punter.

Sean won the Kevin Stemke Award as Wisconsin’s top senior specialist and is ranked as the #1 kicker and #4 punter in the state.

Sean was just selected the recipient of The Kevin Stemke Award as Wisconsin high school’s top senior kicking specialist.

Coach Farley on West: “One of the things I like so much about Sean is his work ethic, as well as being a 3-sport athlete. He’s a good guy …and a player that his teammates and coaches count on.  Sean’s numbers reflect just how much Coach Zortman trusted him week in and week out. 19 field goal attempts in a high school season tell you all you need to know.”
